Elkhorn Aviation, Inc., dba Baker Aircraft is the Fixed Base Operator FBO at the Baker City, Oregon airport, located in the northeastern section of the state.  BKE has three active runways, the longest is 5,059 feet, capable of supporting all aircraft including most modern business jets.  The airport is located in a level valley at 3,369 feet with mountain  ranges in the distance.  The approaches are easy and the scenery is beautiful.

We are a full-service Fixed Base Operator (FBO) with 24 hour self-service 100LL and Jet-A fuel, first-class maintenance, rental aircraft and charters.  Our Commander 690A and Cessna 414 twin engine aircraft fly charter flights to cities in the northwest and rental aircraft including Cessna 172, 182 are available for charter or rental. A Robinson R-44 Raven II is available for charter, game surveys, scenic flights and training.  Our UH-1H helicopter is available for a variety of heavy lift helicopter services and aerial crane work including remote hook long line services capable of lifting heavy loads up to 4000 lbs to remote areas.  We offer a full range of services including scenic flights, game surveys, Telemetry, search and rescue, air attack and forest recon. 

Flight instruction, provided by senior instructors, is very popular due to the clear weather conditions nearly year-round.  Our instructors can provide you with recreational, private, instrument, commercial, CFI and CFII licenses. We have single-engine Cessna aircraft on the line for instruction and rental.  Let dreams take wings.

Fuel stops at Baker City are quick and easy. Open 24/7.  Taxi to the fueling station, swipe your credit card, fill up, stop to use our facilities and get an update on the weather.  Self serve Jet A and 100LL are always available in addition to assisted service. 

Our FBO office has weather reporting, high-speed wireless internet access, phones, courtesy cars, comfortable sofas, pilot lounge; the coffee is always on and friendly people are there to help from 7am to 6 pm during the summer and 7am to 4 pm in the winter.

We're located just 3 miles from beautiful, historic downtown Baker City and airport transportation is available for your use.  When you fly in, be sure to make the short trip downtown to see the historic buildings, hotels, wonderful restaurants, shopping and very friendly people.

The airport is located next to The Oregon Trail where the ruts are still visible from the air.  Our Visitors Bureau is located on Campbell Street just as you exit the freeway from the airport and they can tell you of the hundreds of attractions in the area.  Plan to stay overnight.  We even feature a luxury hotel as well as many fine motels.  A word of caution, once you visit the airport and Baker City you may want to stay.  We did.
